Rina Martinez is a contemporary abstract artist based in Basel Switzerland, known for he bold use of color, expressive textures and immersive large - scale canvases. Working with acrylic, mixed media, and  impasto techniques. Martinez explores the emotional and sensory power of color through layered, tactile surfaces.

Her paintings often feature gravity - driven drips, sculptural ridges, and dynamic chromatic interactions that reflect both intuitive movement and thoughtful construction. 

All her paintings are developed directly on the canvas – she makes no sketches before the work. Rina’s art is a pure reflection of her inner world at that given moment when she stands in front of the canvas. 

She continues to develop a distinctive body of work that reflects her commitment to experimentation, material exploration and the power of abstract form.

When asked about her deepest motivations, Rina responded: "On one hand I do it to give expression to the creativity I feel inside of me. On the other, it's compensation for the stresses we all have. Painting calms me, and I feel at peace when I am in the creative flow; it is a feeling which can last for hours."
